Marcus Lind holds a BA in Media & Communication Science with an International and Intercultural profile from Örebro University. It includes studies at Tec de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico, and two years of studies at Örebro School of Theology. He wrote his thesis on the role of ICTs in development work in Ahmedabad, India.
Since 2006, Marcus has worked with sustainability related projects and initiatives in different roles, such as researcher, project manager and communication manager, often involved in large projects involving cross-sectoral collaboration and innovation. He spent seven years at Dalarna Science Park as part of the sustainable business development team, which gave him a large network in Sweden and the Nordics within cleantech, sustainability and innovation.
Before joining Smart Innovation Norway, Marcus was part of the international business development team at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute. His main role was to establish and run Smart City Sweden, the Swedish export and investment platform for smart and sustainable city solutions. Having received over 200 international delegations from over 40 countries since May 2017, Marcus has gained substantial insight into the challenges that cities and communities all over the world are facing today.
At Smart Innovation Norway, Marcus will be involved in projects in Molde kommune, Moss Havn and Nordic Solutions for C40.
